Cookies & Consent

This is an English translation for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Danish version prevails.

In short

We do not load any statistics or other non-necessary tracking before you have given consent. We do not use marketing cookies, and there is therefore no marketing category in our consent solution.

What are cookies and similar technologies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website can store in your browser so that it can be recognised on your next visit. Besides actual cookies, there are related technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage, which store information directly in the browser without sending it with every request. On consitus.dk we primarily use localStorage to remember your consent choice, because it is the most limited way to store exactly that piece of information.

The technologies can broadly be divided into three purposes: necessary (the site cannot function without them), statistical (we can see how the site is used), and marketing (profiling across websites). We only use the first two categories, and statistics only if you say yes.

Necessary storage (always active)

• consitus.cookie-consent — stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and contains your choice, the version number of the consent text, and the time of the choice. Without it, you would be asked on every visit.
• Technical operation: hosting and security functions necessary for the site to be displayed and for the form to be submitted securely. These do not contain marketing profiles.

Statistics (only with consent)

If you accept statistics, we may load Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are used. Analytics then sets its own cookies (typically _ga and _ga_<id>) to recognise repeat visits.

Statistics are not currently set up on the site. Even if you accept statistics, no analytics will therefore be loaded until a measurement ID has been configured.

Third parties

We aim to use as few third parties as possible. The site is hosted with our operations provider, which processes technical log and security data on our instructions. If you accept statistics, Google, as the provider of Google Analytics 4, will process a pseudonymised visit ID and information about which pages you view. We do not embed advertising networks, social media tracking pixels or external ad tools on consitus.dk.

Transfer of data to countries outside the EU/EEA only takes place where the supplier has a valid transfer mechanism. If you have questions about a specific supplier, feel free to ask — we will tell you who processes what.

How long is the data stored?

Your consent choice is stored for up to 12 months, after which you will be asked again. If you accept statistics, Analytics cookies are typically stored for up to two years, but you can delete them from your browser at any time. Technical operations logs are retained briefly and solely for security and troubleshooting purposes.

Consent, change and withdrawal

Consent to statistics is voluntary, and you can use the entire site without giving it. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time, and withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before that point. If you use a different browser, a different device, or private browsing, the choice must be made again, because the storage is tied to the individual browser.

The contact form

The form on the contact page does not set any cookies. The data is stored in our database when you submit it. See the privacy policy for details.

Change your choice

You can change your consent at any time. You can also clear the storage in your browser's settings, after which you will be asked again.
