Automation and process optimisation
Automating the manual processes in your workflows
We automate workflows in Consitus Intranet: cases create themselves, status follows the work, and reminders don't depend on someone remembering. Automation is built into the platform — we don't build integrations into your other systems.

Possibilities
Examples of what can be automated in the platform
The points below are possibilities — not a description of existing solutions elsewhere. What makes sense for you depends on which workflows live in the intranet.
Forms that become workflows
A form submitted in the intranet can create the case, assign the owner and start follow-up, instead of ending up as an email.
Away from spreadsheets
A workflow currently held together by a shared spreadsheet moves into a module with roles, history and validation.
Scheduled jobs
Updates, clean-up, status calculations and regular extracts can run automatically on a schedule instead of manually.
Notifications and reminders
An alert when a deadline is approaching, a status changes, or a case has been stalled for too long.
Data cleansing and validation
Rules in the platform that catch errors, gaps and duplicates before they spread into reports and invoicing.
Controlled data exchange
Agreed extracts and data deliveries from Consitus Intranet when figures are needed elsewhere — defined and bounded.
Concrete value
Where double entry typically sits
If several of these sound familiar, there's usually an automation that pays for itself quickly.
- The same information entered several times during a case
- Data moved manually between spreadsheets and everyday work
- Forms and emails processed by hand every day
- Monthly extracts and reports rebuilt from scratch every time
- Follow-up depends on someone remembering
- Errors only discovered once they've reached invoicing
Scope
Automation on the platform — not integration with your current systems
Consitus doesn't build further on customers' existing systems and doesn't offer general system integration between arbitrary platforms. Automation is built in Consitus Intranet, and if data is needed elsewhere, we agree a defined and controlled data exchange from the platform.
- Mapping the workflow as it stands today
- The workflow is built or moved into Consitus Intranet
- A defined first step rather than a large project
- Checking that automation can fail visibly and safely
If the workflow isn't in the platform yet, that's where we start: see how Consitus Intranet is built.
FAQ
Questions about automation
- What do you automate?
- Workflows inside Consitus Intranet: creating cases, assigning owners, status changes, reminders, scheduled jobs, data validation and extracts. Automation is built as part of the platform, so it knows your customers, roles and documents.
- Can you connect our current systems to each other?
- No, that's not our service. We don't offer general system integration between customers' existing platforms, and we don't build further on top of them. We automate workflows in Consitus Intranet — and can set up a controlled data exchange from the platform when agreed.
- What does controlled data exchange mean?
- That data can move out of or into Consitus Intranet in a defined, agreed way — for example a scheduled extract, a file transfer, or a defined data delivery for use elsewhere. It's a bounded feature of the platform, not an ongoing integration project across your other systems.
- Where should we start?
- With the workflow that costs the most time today. We map the steps, automate a defined part of it in the intranet, and measure the effect before building further. It's faster and lower risk than a large project.
